Hatha Yoga

HATHA YOGA is the foundational branch of Yoga that focuses on asanas (physical postures), pranayama (breath control) and meditation to achieve a balanced and harmonious state of being. Rooted in ancient Indian Traditions Hatha Yoga seeks to unite the energies of the body and mind, promoting physical and mental wellbeing.

Practitioners engage in a series of asanas designed to improve flexibility, strength and balance. These postures are held for a certain duration of time, allowing for deep stretches and mindful awareness of the body. Pranayama techniques are integral to Hatha Yoga to calm the mind and vitalize the body.

Traditional Hatha Yoga places a strong emphasis on achieving balance in the dualities of our daily lives. Through harmonizing opposing forces, such as strength and flexibility, effort and surrender, the mind and body, you will experience a sense of equilibrium and inner peace.
